Six people were injured Friday morning when a three-vehicle crash involving a Los Angeles Metro bus was reported on Sherman Way in Reseda. The Los Angeles Fire Department said the collision happened at about 9:47 a.m. near the intersection of Sherman Way and Etiwanda Avenue, in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. A car reportedly struck the rear of the Metro bus, and a third vehicle was also involved. Firefighters evaluated seven people at the scene, and five of them were taken to area hospitals. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
According to ABC7 Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Fire Department said the severity of the victims’ injuries was not immediately known. KTLA reported that six people were injured in the crash, which came just days after a separate and unrelated Metro bus crash elsewhere in the Valley left two people dead and six others injured. Authorities have not released any names or said what allegedly caused the car to strike the bus. As of Friday evening, investigators were still working to determine the cause of the collision.
