Man Arrested in Suspected DUI Crash in Northwest Fresno, Police Say
California Vehicle Code 23152 makes it unlawful to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or more. A driver who violates this law and causes injury to another person can face additional penalties under related provisions.
California Vehicle Code 22350, the basic speed law, says no one may drive faster than is reasonable for conditions, regardless of the posted limit. Speed that is unsafe for the circumstances can be a factor when determining fault in a collision.
