A pedestrian was struck and killed late Wednesday night in the West Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department said the crash was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the area of Roscoe Boulevard near Farralone Avenue and the 22100 block of Quinn Circle. Video from the scene showed a sedan with a shattered windshield and damage on the driver’s side, and officers set up a medical examiner’s tent as investigators worked through the night. The driver reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with police, and no arrests had been announced as of Thursday morning.
KTLA reported that the woman, described as being in her 30s, was allegedly crossing Roscoe Boulevard outside a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a westbound vehicle. According to a separate report from MyNewsLA, officers from LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division remained at the scene past 1 a.m. gathering evidence, and police asked motorists to avoid the area while the investigation continued. Neither the victim nor the driver had been publicly identified by authorities as of the latest reporting. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
