A motorcyclist was fatally injured Wednesday afternoon after colliding with a FedEx delivery truck on Glen Oaks Road near Bella Vista Road, just east of Temecula, California. The California Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred around 1:38 p.m. The impact reportedly threw the motorcyclist into a roadside ditch. Paramedics requested a helicopter airlift and attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the rider was pronounced dead. The FedEx driver was not injured, and CHP had not released the motorcyclist’s identity as of the initial report.
According to Patch, Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived within minutes of the 911 call and found the motorcyclist in critical condition before paramedics began emergency treatment. CHP partially closed Glen Oaks Road at the crash site to carry out its preliminary investigation, and officials said no additional details were immediately available. A separate report from MyNewsLA confirmed the same timeline and noted the collision occurred near the Glen Oaks Road and Bella Vista Road intersection. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not said whether any citations have been issued.
