Two pedestrians were struck and injured in a hit-and-run crash in Hollywood in the early morning hours of Sept. 1, 2026. According to police, the pedestrians were crossing Sunset Boulevard, east of Bronson Avenue, at around 2 a.m. when they were hit by a car traveling eastbound. The driver, reportedly behind the wheel of a white sedan, possibly a 2025 Kia K4, allegedly fled the scene eastbound on Sunset Boulevard and then south on Van Ness Avenue without stopping to identify themselves or render aid. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and treated both pedestrians for visible injuries at the scene.
KTLA reported that the Los Angeles Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the driver responsible. The LAPD’s West Traffic Division is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information, including possible surveillance footage, to come forward. According to MyNewsLA, the reward is being funded through the city’s Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund.
