A multi-vehicle collision on Monday, October 12, 2026, just before 8:30 a.m., left four people injured in the 1000 block of Fourth Avenue near Moss Street in Chula Vista. A juvenile passenger was taken to a trauma center in critical condition. Police reported that a Toyota Camry leaving a parking lot struck a northbound Mazda 6, which then veered into an oncoming Dodge Durango.
According to 10News.com, the Mazda’s 31-year-old driver suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and two boys in the Mazda had minor injuries. The Durango’s 24-year-old driver and a child in that SUV were taken for precautionary medical exams, and the Camry’s 21-year-old driver was reported uninjured. Times of San Diego also covered the crash. Neither report states a cause or determination of fault, so any questions of responsibility remain allegedly unresolved pending the police investigation.
