A truck driver was injured Friday afternoon in a crash involving two big rigs that shut down lanes on the westbound 10 Freeway in Claremont, according to ABC7 Eyewitness News. The crash was reported at about 4:07 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, on the westbound 10 Freeway at Indian Hill Boulevard.
As reported by ABC7, Los Angeles County firefighters had to extricate one of the drivers from the cab of his big rig, which sustained extensive damage in the collision. The driver was placed on a stretcher and taken to a hospital; his condition has not been released. Freeway lanes were closed after the crash and traffic backed up through the area before at least two lanes were reopened. The cause of the collision has not been reported, and no citation or finding of fault has been announced. Investigations of commercial-truck crashes on the 10 Freeway are typically handled by the California Highway Patrol.
