Two men were left in critical condition early Saturday morning after a single-vehicle rollover crash at the intersection of Brimhall Road and Renfro Road in northwest Bakersfield. Police say a silver Nissan sedan was heading westbound on Brimhall Road around 12:12 a.m. on September 19, 2026, when the driver allegedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The car continued into an adjacent field at a high rate of speed, struck a large dirt berm, and overturned. Both the driver and a passenger were transported to a hospital, where they remained in critical condition as of Saturday morning.
According to BakersfieldNow, the Bakersfield Police Department responded to the scene and is continuing to investigate the crash. Officers have not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs were factors, and the department is asking anyone with information about the collision to come forward. No road closures were reported in connection with the crash. The case remains an active, open investigation.
