Denton, Texas: Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Bonnie Brae Street
A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday evening in a crash with an SUV near North Bonnie Brae Street and West Prairie Street in Denton, Texas. Denton police said officers were dispatched to the scene at about 6:45 p.m., and the motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities have not released the motorcyclist’s name, and no charges have been announced as the investigation continues.
According to the Denton Record-Chronicle, all lanes of Bonnie Brae Street from Louise Street to the Interstate 35 service road were shut down for hours while crash investigators worked the scene, reopening by about 9:10 p.m. A police spokesperson told the outlet that the motorcyclist was the only person transported from the crash. Denton police have not yet said what led to the collision, and the case remains under active investigation.
