A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday evening in a collision with an SUV in Wylie, Texas, according to police. The crash occurred around 6 p.m. on September 22, 2026, near South Ballard Avenue and Elm Drive. Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the rider did not survive. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators as the Wylie Police Department works to determine what led to the crash.
According to WFAA, police identified the victim as 42-year-old Anthony Mills, a Wylie resident. WFAA reported that a 911 caller found Mills unresponsive on the ground before first responders arrived. Wylie police told WFAA that the crash remains under investigation and that no further details are available at this time. Wylie Police Accident Investigators and detectives from the department’s Criminal Investigations Division are handling the case.
