A 16-year-old boy died on Saturday, September 26, 2026, after a crash while riding an off-road motorcycle on Mountain View Drive in Venus, Texas. He was a junior at Kennedale High School and had previously attended school in Venus. Family, friends and classmates gathered on Sunday evening, October 4, at Bulldog Stadium in Venus to remember him. We are not naming the teen because we did not find an official release of his name from authorities.
WFAA reported that friends and family released balloons into the sky and wrote their favorite memories on them during the gathering. NBC DFW reported that, according to the school principal, the teen and friends were riding motorcycles together and, near the end of the ride, he had stopped his bike and was allegedly struck by a friend on another motorcycle. Neither report included statements from law enforcement about the cause of the crash or the status of any investigation. Details may change as more information is confirmed.
