A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 35E near Camp Wisdom Road in southern Dallas left one person dead and a passenger hospitalized early Monday morning, according to news reports. Officers were called to the scene at about 2:30 a.m. after a passerby reported the wreck. A southbound vehicle allegedly struck a bridge support, and the driver was reportedly ejected.
CBS News reported that Dallas Police and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and that Fire-Rescue crews confirmed the death at the scene. FOX 4 News reported that all southbound lanes of I-35E remained closed for the investigation and that the passenger’s condition had not been released. The victim’s identity has not been made public, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
