A two-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 15 in Norco left one person with major injuries and a second with minor injuries on Saturday evening. The collision, involving a white SUV and a white sedan, was reported at approximately 4:48 p.m. just south of the Sixth Street off-ramp. The impact reportedly caused the SUV to flip before coming to rest on its wheels on the right shoulder. Emergency crews closed two travel lanes on northbound I-15 while they worked the scene and transported the more seriously injured occupant to a hospital.
According to Hoodline, a witness told the California Highway Patrol that the SUV and sedan collided before the SUV flipped onto the shoulder. MyNewsLA reported that one person suffered major injuries and was taken by ambulance for treatment, while the second occupant had only minor injuries and declined further medical care at the scene. The CHP has not released information on what caused the crash or the current condition of the more seriously injured patient. Investigators have not said whether speed or an unsafe lane change played a role.
