A single-vehicle rollover on the night of Friday, October 23, 2026, left one man dead and two other people hospitalized in Del Mar. The crash happened at about 9:40 p.m. in the 2900 block of Camino Del Mar, and the car ended up in the front yard of a home. NBC 7 San Diego reports that, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a 2008 BMW 328i allegedly passed another vehicle on the right, lost control and rolled over. The sheriff’s office said drugs or alcohol were believed to be a factor in the collision. The North Coastal Traffic Division is investigating the cause, and no charges or test results had been reported. Anyone hurt in a crash like this may have legal options, and an impaired-driving allegation is not a finding until the investigation is complete.
